In order to deepen parents’ understanding of how school funds support plans for student achievement and to provide opportunities for parent input in plan development and decision-making, schools must hold an annual stakeholder engagement meeting, the Annual School Goals and Budget Development Consultation Meeting, prior to the budget development in the spring semester. All families are invited to this meeting. A needs and assets assessment, along with other data, including results from the California School Dashboard, will be shared with parents and connected to the goals and actions defined by the school for student achievement and success.

A Harvest Festival is a community or school celebration that takes place during the fall season to celebrate the harvest, give thanks, and bring families together through fun activities, games, food, and seasonal traditions.

Red Ribbon Week is a national drug-prevention awareness campaign celebrated every year from October 26–30. Schools, families, and communities participate to encourage children and young people to make healthy choices and live a drug-free life.
