About Us

Jaime Escalante Elementary was established on August 16, 2010 who serve the communities of  Bell, Cudahy, and Maywood. We are a Public School Choice that offers grades TK through 6th. We are excited to share some wonderful news—our school has been named a California Distinguished School! This prestigious award is given by the California Department of Education to public schools that demonstrate outstanding student achievement and a strong commitment to educational excellence.

ELAC/SSC Orientation ENG

ELAC/SSC Orientation

ELAC and SSC Orientation is a mandatory early-year informational meeting that introduces parents to two vital school-site decision-making committees: the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) and the School Site Council (SSC). During these sessions, schools explain how these councils function, review member responsibilities, and outline the self-nomination and election process for parent representatives.

Jaime Escalante Elementary-School Accountability Report Card

A SARC, or School Accountability Report Card, is an annual report mandated by the state of California for all public schools to provide parents and the community with data on school performance, environment, resources, and demographics. Published by February 1st, it helps parents make informed enrollment decisions and tracks school progress.

A hard copy of the SARC is available in the main office upon request.
